2011 OPA Season Opener Right Around The Corner
The Offshore Powerboat Association released their 2011 schedule here recently, and the season opener looks like it’s going to be in beautiful Atlantic City! The season will kick off on June 3rd-5th, and the MitiGator powerboat will be on hand in hopes of capturing back to back season openers. In 2010 the MitiGator powerboat stormed on the 2010 campaign by winning the season opener at Ocean City, MD.
Driver Warren Miller attributed a lot of his success that day to his seat being outfitted with the MitiGator cushioning system. The course at Ocean City is known for having the roughest waves on the circuit, and teams will sometimes hit swells that will push the boat over 10 feet into the air. When the boat comes back down the drivers are in for a hard hit. But the MitiGator cushioning system is designed to absorb those violent impacts so that the driver and throttleman can focus on the only thing that matters: Winning!
